Information about the Ahurei

Kia Ora Everyone,

Just to give you an indication of where we are at:

Otonga will be performing on 16th November 2015 (Term 4) at the Ahurei Festival, held at the Rotorua Convention Centre. Tickets will be available to purchase from the office early next term, at $6 per session. One session allows you to watch either 1st, or 2nd half of the evening. Otonga are performing in the 1st half. Keep an eye on the school newsletter to find out when these tickets will be available. It is an 'allocation/pre-paid' process, so the tickets will be given out once they are all sold. There will be a limit as to how many one whanau can purchase to make sure all whanau have the chance to attend.

Practices are really picking up now, we only have afternoon before the holiday break, and 5 afternoons upon returning next term. We will also hold 1 - 2 Saturday practices over that time, but we will let you know well in advance. We are looking at 10am - 3pm on those days. We encourage whanau to attend near the end of the practice to watch.

Remember, we can only take 40 students to the performance, so encourage your tamariki to keep coming to practice, and rehearsing their words and actions regularly - using the videos on the blog to help!

Ngā manaakitanga,
Whaea Callie.
